The Back Story

OK, so here's the scoop on the name:

A long time ago (in the 80's), in a galaxy far, far away (like, in California, dude), there lived a princess named Shirley.

One day, Shirley's dad got a BetaMax recorder (the height of technology) and proceeded to come up with what he (and truthfully everyone else, until they grew up) thought were brilliant ideas.

They made videos of songs, somehow he talked Shirley into doing a Michael Jackson routine. The biggest thing, though, was a grand show much like The Oprah Winfrey Show. There was a theme song, and opening sequence, and guests! It was called "Shirley In The Afternoon" and did they ever ham it up!

In an effort to bring back the ham, I've started up this blog. So there ya go, you have the story!
